Randy's mom will tell you that he loved growing things from a young age. He was always experimenting with his plantings and could grow about anything.

Randy Delposen established Randy's Raisings in 1984 as a produce farm. From 1986 to 1990, Randy operated the farm during summer breaks while majoring in Horticulture Business at Ohio State University. During this time Randy's Raisings began specializing in tomatoes, peppers, and pumpkins.

We built our first greenhouse off of Cannon's Mill Road in 1993 to produce transplants for the vegetable operation. With the inclusion of bedding plants, the business has been steadily growing ever since. Since 1994, two additions and three new greenhouses have been added at that location.

We make all of our own hanging baskets and grow our bedding plants from seed, plugs, or cuttings. We feel this is the best way to maintain the highest quality. We offer hundreds of varieties of annuals, perennials, and hanging baskets.

We made major changes to the produce operation in 2000, which we moved to a 152 acre farm located at 50462 Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road. Our farm market opened in September 2000 and offers various fresh fruit and vegetables as well as pumpkins, gourds, and fall mums - all grown right here on the farm. In 2002 we made yet another expansion at the farm market by constructing a state of the art greenhouse for flowers.

In addition to the freshest produce, plants, and flowers, we offer hay rides and our annual corn maze at the farm market. Our visitors love navigating the corn maze, and we even have flashlight nights for those who like the extremely challenging task of navigating the maze after dark.
